There's a lot to do to get students back on the right track and clean up the mess Biden-Harris and Sec. Cardona will leave behind. I shared my thoughts on the agenda for President Trump's second term with EdWeek:
I really wish our public schools could be totally overhauled. There should only be two classes that children are required by law to attend. First class is a combination of math and science and the second class is a combination of history, reading, and writing. These are the only classes they should be expected to be quiet and sit still in. They should be the classes that come first in the day and once done parents have a choice to come get their children or let them stay at school. The rest of the classes should be elective. Computer, art, gym, home economics and more. Children shouldn't be required to sit still and be quiet throughout the elective classes and should be able to go outside for a ten-minute walk whenever they need a break. This way parents who work still have a place for their children to be and children get more exercise and chances to socialize. Children should not be expected to sit for 8 hours a day being quiet because it is not natural or healthy.
Incentivize private education, including parent led education. Competition between public(state), private, and parent led education will improve and make education more efficient.
Our current regimented and one-size-fits all method of teaching is antiquated.
Our universities are not making teachers. They are building robots.
I liked you, but your betrayal at the end was contemptible.
I wisely voted for somebody who doesn’t encourage people to shoot other people in the face, as the GOP candidate suggested be done to Liz Cheney. My faith won’t allow me to support this behavior or the current GOP agenda. It’s disheartening.
OK Ms Devos, trump wants to abolish the Dept of Education. He said so. NOT fix, but abolish. You helped sell out our country and complicit in the autocratic attack on our democracy. Shameful. Where is your decency?? Money doesn't buy it.

A well-deserved victory tonight for the Lady Wolf Pack volleyball team!
These ladies are also winning on the issue of PROTECTING women’s sports.
This is a matter of safety, fairness, and privacy.
I hope all of Nevada and America join in standing with these brave young women.
Sadly, we know her answer. The Biden-Harris #TitleIX regulation answers it quite clearly.
I can’t even believe we're even debating whether biological men, identifying as women, should be allowed to compete in women's sports!
What happened to the country I love—a nation that was always rooted in fairness?
